A1 Energy Consultants Home Energy Services

A1 Energy Consultant work on behalf of Home Owners and in conjunction with Architects, Consulting Engineers, Building Contractors and Property Developers on a range of technical Energy Services, all carried out in a professional, independent and impartial manner,

using building physics theory including, Initial 3D conceptual energy modelling, Provisional and Final DEAP BER Assessments ensuring compliance with current building regulations, Heat Pump grant Technical Assessments, UValue calculations, condensation Risk analysis, Frsi surface temperature calculations, air tightness design and testing and thermal bridge assessment for whole building energy balance calculations optimising building performance, building envelope optimisation and producing a thermal bridge-free healthy, comfortable internal building environment. We have a proven track record in delivering fast and efficient value for money Consultancy Services.

We are passionate about the conservation of fuel and energy, promoting a “fabric first” approach to our building designs, this involves maximising the performance of the components and materials that make up the building fabric and only then introducing the use of mechanical or electrical building services systems. This will reduce the capital and operational costs of the building, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

Buildings account for 40% of EU energy use and the EPBD target is for 100% of buildings to be nZEB by 2050 to meet the Paris Agreement, also Irelands Climate Action Plan sets out targets for Net Zero Emissions from buildings by 2050. The plan also outlines targets to improve the energy efficiency of the Irish housing stock, retrofitting 500,000 homes to at least a Building Energy Rating, (BER) of B2, over the next 8 years. Under the new Technical Guidance Document Part L, (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of 2019, deep renovations and refurbishment that exceed 25% of the total surface area of the building’s envelope must now be upgraded to reach a B2 BER.
